Welcome to Childsplay
Childsplay was founded in 1986. It was a small nursery in 1994 until it changed to its current owner, and over the past three decades, along with a dedicated staff team, Childsplay has flourished into the centre of learning it is today, with a real home from home feel.
We recognise the trust you place in us daily. We are committed to ensuring your child grows in confidence, and begins to develop their independence, within an empathetic and nurturing environment. We aim to provide the space for your child to build strong foundations for life.

Aims & Objectives
To provide a stable and challenging environment, so that each child will be enabled to move towards all round development within the six areas of learning.
To foster a partnership of mutual trust, respect, and vision between carers and staff.
To serve as an extension of home, extending the familiar and introducing new experiences, so that home and nursery life complement each other ensuring the best outcomes for the children.
Our Staff Team
We pride ourselves on the fact that we provide continuity for our children and families, as we have had the same dedicated management team for over twenty years. The rest of our staff team seldom changes, however occasionally someone new comes along, and it doesn’t take them long to fit right in within the Childsplay family.
All our department leaders are fully qualified for their roles, and all assistants are trained to NVQ level 2 and above. All our staff are trained in Child Protection and have a duty of care to safeguard all children.
We are also routinely trained as Fire Wardens, and additionally complete Health & Safety training, inclusive of Moving & Handling.
Childsplay staff maintain professional development through yearly training, and keep abreast of changes and new initiatives outlined by Early Years Organisation and the Department of Education Northern Ireland.
We also offer student placements, where each student is assigned to a key worker/mentor and closely monitored throughout their stay. Many of our students remain on our staff team after completing their qualifications.
